Heath in Panhard 1904
Harry Elliot (Charles Edmond Hermet)

This is a great image of Heath in the Panhard by Harry Elliot (whos 'real name' was Charles Edmond Hermet). 'Elliot' was a fanatical Anglophile frenchman! and was greatly influenced by the British equestrian artist Cecil Aldin. There are little English elements to this litho, for example the soldiers uniform could be mistaken for an English bobby and the 'pub' is Au Lion Rouge (The Red Lion!). This picture has been reframed with non-reflective glass and is in very good condition - We assume that it was refurbished at some point in the late 1900's (Not by us!). It has a slightly 'cartoon' feel and is a great picture for many situations - It is certainly an interesting and decorative piece of motoring art.
